What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

Below we see some print screens of my final products in photoshop. Photoshop CS4 is the program I used to create all my final products, it offers a lot of options to change and mold my products. Around the images, you can see the toolbars, there is a lot of tools that do a lot of things to the image, for example: crop, burn etc. They are all very important in creating the best visual possible. In one you can see the colour adjustment tool, which simply allows me to changes the colours of the image. All of these tools work together to create my final images. Personally I enjoyed using Photoshop as it allowed for such a great deal of freedom when creating something. There is a lot more to learn on it but i have learnt a lot in the due course of this project.

Below we see some logos of other programs I used. Blogger and Flickr were very useful for different reasons. Blogger aloud me to store all of my work in this online database, which can be viewed by the public and of course my teacher, this helped me develop and keep track of my work. Flickr was helpful as it annotates your pictures using text when you hover over a element of the picture. This made it easy to evaluate. Furthermore, you can link Flickr with Blogger so there are links from Blogger to the annotated images. Blogger in contrast of a conventional essay allowed a lot more freedom when creating the entire project, it allowed me to do the project in sections and for the teacher to look and assess easily without having to keep re submit essay drafts. However, as it is all technology based, if something goes wrong, such as the internet is slow, it makes the work harder as you are having these problems which wouldn't happen with a essay. But this aside Blogger does allow for a lot of work to be done with a strong structure and established tracking system. This meaning it allowed for pottentially better work than an essay.

  1. A good start - which particular elements of this new tech do you think have changed the way you work more widely, if any?
