Firstly looking at the main image on my contents page, it is a link between the front page to the content, it shows a different shot of the main image on the front page so therefore explains to people that this magazine is all about indie. The pose is relaxed etc to add emphasis on this value of not caring what other people think.
The features, exclusives and reviews have been written in a chatty fashion, so the overall feel of the text is relaxed and friendly so my audience can connect with it. Furthermore The way it has been formatted is straight forward and simply, similar to the front cover and values of the magazine. Also within these sections there are a lot of familiar bands and stories etc which my audience can be interested in and if they haven't heard of the band there is a caption about them to explain and reference them.
All of the writhing style and the content hints towards what is actually going to be inside, with a bit more information than the front cover.
On the left we see my finished double page spread along with some connotation in relation to audience.Looking at the main image we see the same person from the front cover, with a close up. He is of young age, which enforces the USP of the magazine. Furthermore, the audience can see his hair in more detail, which is messy and longish, this is a indie haircut, so my audience can relate again to him.
The title brings a scruffy and simple font with a natural green. This links in with the values of indie plus it further enforces the idea of indie, even using the word 'Indie' in the stand first.
The article itself is chatty and informal, with quotes so that it makes the audience relate to the person in question.
The overall format itself is simple and has highlights of colour to add emphasis or brighten up the page. Also the image and backgrounded is gray-scaled, this generally connotes that the image is down to earth and realistic, which is what I wanted to achieve in order to link with my audience.
Looking back over all three texts something crucial that I tried to establish in all texts, is how I was talking to my aduience. As in how I wrote the texts so that my audience would want to read and feel comfortable when doing so. So to do this, I have tried to use langauge that shows this, one big use was exclamation marks as this is seen as fun and loud, just liek my target audience are. Futhermore in my double page article we see chatty and fun language as if I want them to read through it it has to be like that or else it is considered boring. Saying this although I did make it fun, I didn't want it to appear to childish, so still kept some degree of formalitly within the texts.

good work but you need to think about your "mode of address" - what sort of relationship you construct with your reader through, for example, use of language (formal or informal, slangly or standard, jokey or serious) and why.
